The history of Newton’s Body Shop.
1988 - 2019
Newton’s Body Shop was established in 1988, and the original location was behind Rainey’s alignment & Tire Co.
In 1992, Newton’s Body Shop made a big change, and bought an empty lot at 108 Central Avenue S. We built a shop on the property and have been here since.
The original shop consisted of one main building and an office, though it did not stay that way.
Between 1992 and 2018, we made three large additions to the shop, to accomodate the growing amount of business.
2019-2021
In January of 2019, disaster struck Newton’s Body Shop. We were woken up in the early morning hours to a call that the shop was on fire. It was a devastating fire that destroyed the office, two work bays, and temporarily shut down the paint shop.
It took nearly two years to rebuild and fully recover from the fire. It affected not only the building, but also the business as a whole. Nevertheless, we recovered.
2021-Present
Starting in 2021, we felt fully recovered and saw a rise in business. It was a welcome change, and with a newly remodeled shop, it was the gift that kept giving.
Business has continued to rise to new heights to this day, and in 2023 we added yet another addition to the shop to accomodate this.
